This privacy policy sets out how I collect and use any information you may give me when you visit this website, email me, subscribe to my Mailchimp account or otherwise communicate with me.

Behavioural data relates to information about your visit to and actions on this website, and includes your IP address, referrer, length of visit and number of page views. This information is essential for the website to work correctly, and allows me to improve the performance and functionality of the site.

How will I use your data?

The information you provide will be used to enable me to respond to your enquiry, keep you up to date with my work relevant to your enquiry and suggest activities you may want to be involved in. You may opt out from receiving such information at any time.
I will undertake casework using personal information provided by or on behalf of a constituent. It may be necessary for me to share your information with third party organisations. I will only do where it is necessary and reasonable to do so and you have explicitly consented for me to do so. I will share only the minimum amount of personal information necessary in order to advocate on your behalf.
Your personal details will never be published on this site.
I will only disclose personal information to third parties if required by law to do so.

Controlling your data

If the information I hold about you needs to be corrected or updated, you would like to be unsubscribed from our emails, or have any other questions or concerns about my use of your personal data, please contact me at ali@alistairstrathern.com.
To request a copy of any information I hold about you, please contact me at ali@alistairstrathern.com. I may require proof of identity to process your request. I will reply within one month.
I will only retain your personal information so long as I am the MP for Hitchin, or you ask not to be contacted further.
I will regularly review the personal information I hold to ensure that its use is necessary and proportionate.
