Alistair Strathern MP was delighted to meet the winner of his annual Christmas card competition, which showcased the artistic talents of local primary school students.
The competition received a fantastic response this year, with festive designs submitted by pupils across the constituency. After much deliberation, the winning design was created by Lois, a 10-year-old student at Pixbrook Academy.
Lois’ design will now take pride of place on Strathern’s 2024 Christmas card, meaning her design will end up on the mantel piece of everyone from Government ministers to local council leaders.
Commenting, Alistair Strathern MP said:
“Choosing this year’s winning card design has truly put our whole team in the Christmas spirit!
“My team and I were blown away by the young artistic talent across our towns and villages and the standard was brilliant, meaning our team had a tough time selecting a favourite!
“Lois’s design captured the festive spirit brilliantly and will take pride of place as my official Christmas card for 2024. It was great to meet Lois and present her with her prizes over the weekend.
“I want to say a huge thanks to all the students and teachers who supported our initiative – I’m already looking forward to next year’s entries.”
