Marston Vale rail line to return to full timetable, a year after it closed

Updated: Oct 23

After well over a year, the Marston Vale rail line connecting Bedford to Bletchley is running a full timetable from next week.

London Northwestern railway announced the line will be fully operational for the first time on Monday 19th February since it closed in December 2022.

Every single ticket on the line is just £1 for the first three months. Children's tickets will be only 50p. This represents a saving of up to 90%.

Alistair Strathern MP has been pushing for the line to reopen since it closed over a year ago, using his campaign and role as an MP to highlight the issue and create public pressure for this vital line to function at full capacity again.
